Gratitude – Connections – Sydney Bloggers Festival
By Yvette Vignando – 10th November 2010

Just remembered – last week I committed to blogging about gratitude on a Wednesday. As it happens, I have a lot to be grateful for today. And that’s in spite of a low-grade headache and a fast start to the day requiring 3 children and I and husband leaving the house by 7.30 without forgetting to feed the cat.
I attended the Sydney Bloggers Festival today. Here’s my gratitude list for the day:
- a delicious mocha coffee from the Lindt cafe with two chocolates eaten with abandon. I didn’t feel that gluttonous in comparison to the lady in front of me who scraped the chocolate shavings off the top of her Lindt hot chocolate and then went back for a second shaking of shavings from the obliging barista – good for her, I say.
- meeting a range of lovely people including Jackie Maxted from beautyheaven.com.au (thank you for your wise words), Nikola Ellis from sunshinyday.com.au (a great site), Eden Riley from edenriley.blogspot.com (I am jealous that she went to Blogher) , Susan from Vivid Copy (a lovely lunch companion) , the dynamic Brenda Gaddi who is an organiser of Aussie Bloggers Conference and of course fabulous to see again the lovely Di (known as @MsDovic on Twitter) and one of the ladies behind the Boombah Club.
- so many hugs from Mr 8 who is loving wearing a hand-me-down dressing gown in spite of humid weather.
- and especially, the gorgeous Melissa (see our About Us area) who often holds the fort for me in the office and can turn her hand to almost anything I can dream up and is willing to work with me in spite of the office sometimes looking like it’s been burgled.
I’m looking forward to Day 3 of Sydney Bloggers Festival tomorrow and especially, finally meeting my Twitter friend Kerri Sackville. It’s going to be another good day.
